Brett Dorrian Artistry Studios is hosting a special Live Well Workshop for women who want to learn how to weave yoga into everyday life. We are hosting certified yoga teacher Julianne Hide for this workshop.
Yoga can be more than just on your mat. Yoga can be starting your day with a mindful intention and a few easy stretches. Yoga is knowing how to take a few deep breaths after a difficult experience. Yoga is easing tension in your neck right at your desk or placing the body in a relaxation pose before bed to help you sleep. Yoga can be a great aid in rising to the challenges that life throws at you.
Julianne will provide an introduction to enjoying the benefits of a yoga practice that fits into your schedule and using yoga as medicine for the mind and body.
In this workshop you will learn:
A gentle but energizing sequence to ease you into your day
Yoga poses that address specific challenges like menstrual cramps, improving digestion and stimulating the immune system
A calming sequence to do before bed to help you fall sleep
What to bring:
You can totally come as you are! If you are coming right from work or a busy stop at home, feel free to come as you are and you can participate in any clothing and sit in a chair at the studio for the workshop.
If you have the capacity, you can come in comfortable clothing and bring with a yoga mat or small blanket if you'd like to really dig into the sequences on the floor.

About Julianne Hide:
I started practicing yoga in college and I was instantly hooked because it was so helpful for coping with stress. After college I lived in London for 10 years. Living there gave me access to study with teachers from various disciplines, which helped me develop my personal practice. I also took an introductory teacher training course through the British Wheel of Yoga. When I moved back to MN I took a 230 hour teacher training at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis and became certified in prenatal and postnatal yoga. I feel very lucky to have studied both in London and Minneapolis with so many teachers from different styles and backgrounds. My own style of yoga blends together the wisdom of my teachers with a focus on slowing down and using yoga as an invitation to go deeper into what truly brings physical and mental well-being.
